June's 2 Day Rover was won by Kevin Rouse and is a
new shore caught Starry Smoothound club record
weighing 13lb 14oz, beating the existing record by
almost 3lbs!
Nigel Foord and I had a number of quality Smoothounds from a Dorset beach last night (pics attached), one of
which, a Common of 12lb 12oz 4drms, beats the Torbay & Babbacombe ASA shore club record by almost 3lbs!
The previous record holder, A. Nockolds, landed one of 10lb 1oz 4drms from a North Somerset shore mark back in 1993.
Interestingly, Nigel is currently the Club's record holder for both Smoothounds (Starry and Common) from boat, his son Archie took
both junior boat records earlier this year and now I've broken both Smoothound shore records! Cheers Kev.

Torbay & Babbacombes ASA's ,Mark Loewy with his Golden Grey Mullet of 2lb 14oz 10 drams
caught from boat back on the 5th September 2010 which has recently been ratified
as the new British Rod Caught record. Congratulations to Mark on this great achievement.
